Hillbilly News

A few stories from the local rag today:
In the name of God, gimme back my serpents
In the name of God, gimme back my water
We don’t want you Yankee dope-heads in Tennessee
Lift them up as if they were your own children

If you have an Amazon Prime account, you can borrow ebooks for Kindle and Kindle apps at no charge. There are some good titles available such as the “Hunger Games” series and thousands more. You also get free movies like in Netflix and you get free two day shipping on Prime  eligible purchases from Amazon and other stores. $79 per year. Netflix has more movie titles, mostly junk, but it costs nearly $100/year.

Have a decent Winter Worshday!

  1. Snakes as a part of worship services, it sounds funny. Good local press. Many interesting news.
Amazon is a wonderful net shop and … library.
I regret I haven’t too much time for watching movies or reading books. Office, office, office … and in last weeks doctors, doctors, doctors. 😦
Have a great week, my friend.

    • These are poisonous snake the church goers handle at their services. Some also drink poison.
      I like Amazon.
Hope your workload soon becomes less and your health becomes better.
      Thanks, Jola. 🙂

  2. The stories are great. We should give Jola more of these. It may make her wonder how crazy America is.

If I spent more money on Amazon I’d get Prime. It is a good deal.

    • Having g.grand kids around causes me to need Amazon Prime.
      Thanks, Mark

    • Mark, I think Americans are more tolerate to different peculiar things than people in Europe. Actually I know America only from your and Ken’s blogs, and I always try to find things which are common for us.
