Happy Birthday, Nic!!!

Happy Birthday, Nic. I know your mom and granny Alice are very proud of you.
If I ever have to grow up, I want to be Kurt Vonnegut. I hope I don’t grow up.
A train woke me at 3:30 this morning; must be the same sadistic horn blower who plagues Mark. While awake, I thought of world peace just like I know the rest of you do when sleeping is difficult and the following is what came to my mind:

The People hushed as She glided by
Passing wind upon the sky
Peace filled The People’s heart
They all heard the White Dove fart

Have a great Saturday!

  1. Thanks for Nic’s birthday wishes.

  2. You are welcome, my friend. 🙂

  3. ‘Fart ‘… it’s rather ugly word. 😉
Ken … you would be called ‘łobuziak’ in my native language. In English: ‘naughty boy’. It isn’t direct translation.
    D. likes Vonnegut’s prose. He has one of his books with funny drawings.
    Happy birthday, Nic!
My gentle weekend kisses for all of you, my American friends.

  4. ‘Fart” has become so common in USA that I even hear it on children’s TV programming.
Heh-heh; ‘łobuziak’ translates to ‘scamp” or ‘rascal’. I can relate to an endearing title like that.
I used to not care too much for Vonnegut; he made me stop and think and go to the dictionary often. Now I like him and just bypass the words I don’t know.
    Thanks, my friend. 🙂

  5. Lovely poem. That is what train horns to do you.

    • Yep; I think the horns are getting to me.
      Thanks, Mark.
