Independence? weekend

Not a lot happening in my corner; Carolyn went to doc for her quarterly checkup and is doing very well except for some sugar problems.
She found out that she will be losing another two jobs, one definitely in September when one of the branch banks she cleans will stop operations, and another account building is changing over to one company to take care of all facility services nationwide. She has been with both places for more than ten years.
Heart doc says my chest is carrying too much fluid and it is causing my breathing problems; hell, I already knew that. The fluid pills I take sometimes work and sometimes not, and when they don’t work correctly, I become dehydrated and feel worse than ever. Now he wants me to take a larger dosage but only every other day. The condition is commonly known as “dropsy”. Well anyway; I’ve lost 10 pounds of weight since May.
Another Independence Day weekend for Americans, but for some reason I just don’t get into the spirit of the most important of all our holidays like I used to do. I’m watching my country flush itself into the money cesspool and not enough of us recognize the fact to force out government to be responsible for itself. Also, reading Albert Brooks’ new book adds to the helpless feelings.
Jonesborough Days are this weekend; Tennessee’s oldest town celebrates the 4th. Johnson City will have its annual fireworks show, and the United States of America will be 235 years old. We are naked in the world.

  1. ‘Dropsy’ (‘obrzΔ™k’ in Polish) sounds seriously. Is it good or bad that you lost some of your weight? Drink a lot of water please. Water is always the best; also for your kidneys.
    Independence Day is beautiful American holiday.

      I don’t know if the semi-sudden weight loss is good or bad; it is something else I will have to watch. I do drink lots of water.

  2. Beautiful vacation; of the best in my life. I didn’t suppose that Vienna would be so gorgeous city. I managed to know many famous places, buildings and museums of Innerstadt (the oldest part of the city); also its churches, so it was my great spiritual adventure.
    I made 950 photos. My craziness. πŸ˜‰
    Ken … as for your sudden weight loss, please ask for it your doctor. Maybe it’s normal if you eat much less than usually.

    • I’m glad you made so many photos of Vienna; I’ve always heard it was Europe’s most beautiful city for architecture and the arts.
      I don’t eat as much and the fluid pills (Lasix) remove the excess fluid which adds to weight loss.
