I slept until nearly 11:00 this morning; crash-slept is more like it. I hadn’t been getting much sleep, so I was due. Since then it has been one of the busiest days of my life on internet, mostly on Megashot trying to do a few critiques. I’m probably making more enemies than anything. Like everything else i attempt, I try to do it right, or at least to the best of my abilities and downloading a pic, doing edits, uploading it, and explaining what I did and why i did it takes me a lot of time. Cyrus and Maggie are much faster than I; I can but try.
I wonder how many talking head and clueless “experts” CNN and other news agencies have had on the air since President Obama announced that Bin Laden was killed. News is a freaking circus.
I cannot see that the death of Bin laden is going to change anything; like Mark inferred on his blog, Bin Laden was no longer of interest to anyone except those who wanted to spend millions of dollars looking for him and putting servicemen and women in danger. Well, they caught him and spanked him and terrorism will grow worse, just like it would have if he had lived.
Hope you had a wonderful Worsh day!

  1. I can’t say that we (here in Europe) enjoy the death of Bin Laden, nevertheless we feel a kind of relief. President Obama’s announcement was great.
I remember I loved you new version of my photo “Wintry and foggy day”. 🙂
Yesterday I made another photo of that place.
Yes, have a wonderful worsh day!

    • Osama Dead Day is supposed to be one of those days engraved on every American’s memory, like the day President Kennedy was shot or the day the Berlin Wall fell, or 9/11. His death is just not that important overall; not much will change. May 1st is also the day Hitler died, but no one really cares.
Hope you don’t mind if I put one or more of your new photos on the blog.
I don’t know why WordPress made me moderate this comment; they make me moderate all of Mark’s.
      Thanks, Jola. 🙂

  2. My comments have to be moderated in case they inflame political passions of some madman.

As for Osama it just does not matter any more. I am 48 years old and his exploits, as a paid employee of the United States, fighting the Russians, and then as another paid employee turned enemy he has eaten up more than a quarter of my life. Good bye dude. Hope your virgins are hotties. And the world still turns.

  3. Oh, I haven’t too much of time to get out and shoot (my office work and home duties are the most important), nevertheless still some of my photos are quite descent, I think. Please enjoy them, my friend, and post them on your blog if you need it; it will be really very pleasant for me. 🙂
Today we celebrate national holiday of our constitution. Unfortunately, it’s cold and cloudy weather; I stay at home.
I’m happy Tammy visited my photo – stream and left her kind comment on the photo of the Narew River. My dear Tammy: thank you. 🙂

    • Of course I wanted to write ‘decent’ – not ‘descent’. My English. 😉

      • I knew what you meant. 🙂

    • I am about out of my own photos again, so I want to post some of yours, and Tammy sent me a couple I will be posting as soon as I get time.
Happy Constitution Day to you and all Poles, my friend. It is a needed holiday in the US for our Constitution.
      Thanks, Jola. 🙂
